Additions and tie-ins
The spot where a new roof meets an old one is one of the most common places for leaks. We weave or flash the new roof into the existing one properly and match the shingles as closely as possible so the addition looks like it was always there.
Working with builders and homeowners
- PlanWe review the plans, roof pitch and material choice, and give you a written estimate.
- ScheduleWe coordinate with your builder or framer so we're on site as soon as the roof is ready.
- Dry-inWe get underlayment on quickly to protect the framing and interior from rain.
- Install and finishFlashing, ventilation and the finished roof, installed to the manufacturer's specs.
Choosing a roof system
Most new homes in the area get architectural shingles. For a longer-lasting, more energy-efficient roof, consider standing seam metal, or tile for a Mediterranean look. Low-slope patio covers and porches may need a flat roofing membrane instead of shingles.
Ventilation and energy
A new build is the easiest time to get attic ventilation right. Balanced soffit and ridge ventilation and radiant-barrier decking, common on Texas new construction, keep attics cooler, lower cooling bills and help the roof last longer.
